At Mojitos in Peachtree Corners, Georgia, Aurora supplied and professionally installed a restaurant patio enclosure with MagnaTrack™ clear vinyl Retractable Screens, so the restaurant’s large patio stays open to guests from fall through spring.
Mojitos has one of the largest patios in the area, and in warm months it fills with guests. But once the cold weather arrived, wind and low temperatures left those tables empty.
For a restaurant, a patio that closes for the season is square footage that earns nothing. The owners wanted to keep the patio open for guests through the winter without building permanent walls or losing the open, outdoor feel that makes the space popular.
We recommended enclosing the patio with MagnaTrack™ Retractable Screens with clear vinyl. The vinyl blocks wind, cold air and rain, while guests still see outside and natural light fills the space.
Every screen is motorized, so the staff can close the patio when the temperature drops and open it again on warm days. The MagnaTrack™ magnetic system holds the vinyl in its side tracks with more than 70 lbs of holding force per side, and the screen cannot derail — a key point for a busy commercial space.
Each screen was custom-made for its opening, and the borders were ordered in a deep wine red that matches the Mojitos brand.
The patio at Mojitos now works from fall through spring. On cold or windy days, the clear vinyl screens come down and guests keep dining outside; when the weather is warm, the screens retract and the patio opens up again.
More usable tables in the slowest months means more revenue for the restaurant. With wine-red borders that match the Mojitos brand, the enclosed patio has become one of the most inviting outdoor dining spaces in Peachtree Corners — the kind of patio other restaurants in the area envy.

Yes. Each MagnaTrack™ Retractable Screen is custom-made, and the border around the clear vinyl can be ordered in a color that matches the restaurant's brand. At Mojitos in Peachtree Corners, the borders were made in a deep wine red that matches the restaurant's identity, so the enclosure looks like part of the design.
After the on-site consultation and approval, MagnaTrack™ Retractable Screens are custom-made in about four weeks. Installation usually happens the same week the product arrives, and our own team completes it. Restaurants that want their patio ready for cooler weather should plan the project before fall.
