MagnaTrack™ Retractable Screens with clear vinyl transformed this restaurant’s front patio into a more comfortable, flexible space for additional seating and private events.
Our client wanted to make the restaurant’s front patio more productive and comfortable during cooler weather while maintaining visibility and natural light.
Because the existing structure was not originally designed for retractable screens, some of the wood columns required modifications before installation. Aurora identified the structural adjustments needed and provided the technical recommendations so the site could be properly prepared before the MagnaTrack™ Retractable Screens were installed.
We recommended MagnaTrack™ Retractable Screens with clear vinyl to create a flexible enclosure around the patio.
The MagnaTrack™ magnetic retention system is especially well suited for demanding commercial openings, while clear vinyl helps protect the dining area from cooler air without sacrificing visibility.
The borders were customized to coordinate with the restaurant’s brand colors. Once the client completed the recommended structural preparations, Aurora’s trained team professionally installed the MagnaTrack™ Retractable Screens.
Our client can now use the enclosed patio more comfortably during cooler weather, adding approximately six additional high-top tables to the restaurant’s usable seating capacity.
The new enclosure also gives the restaurant more flexibility to host private gatherings and events in a space that can function separately from the main dining area.
By turning an exposed front patio into a more functional dining space, the restaurant can get more value from its existing footprint while offering guests a more comfortable experience throughout more of the year.

Learn how MagnaTrack™ Retractable Screens can help restaurants create more usable patio space, prepare for installation, and choose a flexible alternative to more permanent enclosure systems.
If your restaurant has an underused patio, enclosing part of that space can help turn it into a more comfortable dining area during more of the year. MagnaTrack™ Retractable Screens with clear vinyl can add protection from cooler weather while maintaining visibility and flexibility, helping restaurants get more value from space they already have.
The existing structure should be evaluated before installation. Columns, openings, mounting surfaces, and clearances may need adjustments so the system can be installed correctly. Aurora identifies the site requirements and provides the technical recommendations. Any structural modifications can be completed by the property owner and their trusted contractor before our team installs the MagnaTrack™ Retractable Screens. We have extensive experience coordinating with contractors and project teams to make that process easier.
For many restaurant projects, MagnaTrack™ Retractable Screens can provide a more flexible enclosure solution than permanent or retractable glass systems. Glass enclosure projects may involve additional structural work and local approval processes that can add time to a project. MagnaTrack™ Retractable Screens provide a custom-made, durable, retractable enclosure while allowing the patio to remain adaptable. The systems we install are American-made and custom fabricated for each project, supporting a streamlined production and installation process.
